The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) recertification course is for healthcare professionals who already hold a current ACLS certification and need re-certification. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certification card valid for two years. If your ACLS card has expired, you may sign up for this course; however, you must successfully complete both written and practical skills testing without remediation in order to receive a course completion card.
Course Completion Requirements To receive a course completion card, the student must:
- Complete pretest and achieve a passing grade (≥70)
- Attend and participate in the entire course
- Demonstrate proficiency in Adult BLS (CPR) skills-This course does not renew CPR certification
- Pass skills tests
- Pass written test.

This course is not registered for Pennsylvania EMS Continuing education.
This course will not renew you for CPR certification.

Cards are emailed within 20 days of course completion.
Students are required have a current (2020) provider manual with them at the time of the course. Jefferson employees may borrow a provider manual from the Scott Library 2nd floor Circulation Desk. If you would like to purchase a provider manual, you may do so below.
If you would like to complete your BLS recertification along with your ACLS you may do so by adding the HeartCODE BLS. With HeartCODE BLS you complete the "classroom" portion of BLS online and then complete a skills session during the ACLS course. (The costs associated with HeartCODE BLS are not covered by TJUH Employee promo codes).
