    PHTLS Online Hybrid Course

    PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support) teaches and reinforces how to recognize, rapidly assess and treat life threatening injuries in the trauma patients. PHTLS is recommended for any provider who takes care of a trauma patient outside of the hospital (EMT, Paramedic or PHRN/PPE).

     

    PHTLS is composed of two parts:

    • First part is a web based online education with test to complete before class. Access will be emailed to you ith registration. Completion certifcate is required to bring to class to complete the second part. This web based education takes eight hours.
    • Second part is an 8 hour day with assessment and skills. 100% attendance is required.
    • Both parts are required to complete to receive PHTLS Provider certification card

    Participants who successfully complete both the online and classroom components will earn 16 hours of CECBEMS continuing education credit. 

    This course is approved for 16 hours of Pennsylvania Continuing Education. 

    The web based online education will be emailed to attendees with registration.

    Additional registration is required on the  NAEMT website to register with NAEMT to complete the course registration.  Search for the JeffSTAT EMS Education Center Course.
